We'll see two of your films releasing in December. What are your expectations?
Personally, I am happy with both the films and would love to see how people react to them. Mahesh Manjrekar's Wah! Life Ho To Aisi is a children's film and has a lot of animation.
I had great fun on the sets and it was an enriching experience to watch and learn how filmmakers manage child actors.

The film is also special for Shahid Kapoor since his eight-year-old kid brother is also acting in it. A complete contrast to this is John Mathew Mathan's Shikhar.
Sarfarosh was a wellmade film and people are eager to see what John has in store this time. At a time when others are making comedies and light-hearted entertainers, this is a moving film.
Though I've been lucky to work with some good filmmakers, John's unit will always be special to me. I'd do a film for him even after 10 years.

You're also doing Sooraj Barjatya's film. How did this come about?
I will be shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's film in December. It's an honour to work with the Barjatyas. My first meeting with them lasted for four hours; they talked to me about various aspects of cinema just to know my views.
It was unlike a regular meeting where you are briefed about the film. A week later I was told that I'd be signed on for their film. I am not allowed to reveal anything more at this point.
Despite the huge success of Main Hoon Na, you haven't taken up too many films. Why?
I can't do too many films at a time. More work means living out of suitcases and struggling to manage dates for different films, which is not something that I am particularly keen on doing.
I prefer doing two to three films at a time instead. Interestingly, ever since I entered films, I've been getting offers for Telugu films.
Going by my surname, filmmakers think I am from Andhra. I am a Mangalorean and Rao is a common surname there as well.
